Stephen A. Brooks

Stephen A. Brooks’ journey to writing Dogitude was not linear. It was earned.

From his early creative ambitions in British Columbia to founding a production company and leading global creative teams, Stephen built a career rooted in vision and execution. Yet beneath professional success was an ongoing pursuit of something more meaningful, self-mastery, and contribution.

In 2008, he began investing deeply in personal growth, attending seminars, studying leadership, and exploring mindfulness. He was known for his positive energy, for rallying teams, and making even high-pressure projects feel achievable.

Then came a moment that shook him, a health diagnosis that forced him to confront fear, mortality, and emotional fragility. During that period, he realized he had lost his steady optimism. The reclaiming of it became his most important project.

Dogs played a surprising role in that rediscovery.

By observing their capacity to forgive, adapt, and embrace each moment, Stephen reframed what resilience truly means. Dogitude became more than a concept. It became a practice.

Today, Stephen writes and speaks about cultivating presence, shaping emotional moments, and choosing joy with courage. His message is simple but powerful: you are the most important project of your life.

Lead it well. Wag often.
